How to: AFFIRMATIONS


Today’s society has dictated so much, we count, we measure, we label. The you has become the number of likes , loves, hearts that we receive. The many out weight the few. Even when I started Instagram,

I believe I initially became so obsessed with the number of people that I briefly lost focus and only began to “Do” based on the “Who” and not the “What”.


So what are Affirmations? They are Mind tools… Simply training your brain are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes. You might consider
affirmations to be unrealistic “wishful thinking So how do we train our brain to do more and be learn more and be more, the same way you
learn any new project. You will repeat, but there is a simple but necessary piece to this.

Look in the mirror and understand Who you are, if you don’t feel great or think you look great saying you are great may not be what you need.


Step 1: Stand in a mirror and look at yourself and I Mean really look at yourself, your smile, your hair, your face your nose. What do you see? Look at all those pieces of you that make you… the you YOU are!!! ( there is really a lot to this) … but lets take baby steps

Its important to see yourself and all your beauty, those things that chink in the armor, those beautiful flaws.

Step 2: The inside: We often hide ourselves from ourselves. Sound crazy, you by yourself and start to think of your past. Then you quickly change your thoughts, as if you were switching to another Netflix movie, because its too hard, too much and just plain to… so you don’t face it. This is the hard one, because now you have to fillet yourself!!!! What is the pain, what is root, what is the issue that you have worked through or are working on. When we surrender who the masks and are fully naked that’s when you begin to heal and recover. Hurt, loss, betrayal, death, violation… all of this dictates how we view our world and our relationships. It may show in our demeanor, how pick up on key words, how we cry at certain movies even…… But you have to open all of yourself to yourself.

Step 3: Recognize and Heal: Now that you see yourself in all your glory, its time to heal yourself and work on you. you know what you are bringing to the table, you know you from the inside/out. No one can hurt you with your truth. You stand in it everyday. If you need to seek therapy to work through particular issues that you have discovered, then definintely do that. If you need to make amends or forgive yourself and/or someone else for closure and a step towards your healing process, do that. If its something simple, as changing your wardrobe because you are not representing yourself they way you want to be viewed. then DO THAT!!!!, this is a moment of TRUTH and this is when you have shed all of you and now you are in REBUIILD MODE!!!!

Wouldn’t it be nice if living this life came in a manual of step by step instructions.. hmmm, but if it did how would we see all the beauty in all our flaws… Love you!!!!!
